Fewer and fewer restaurant visitors can assess the quality of a good cuisine at all, because ready-made products have conquered our kitchens and unfortunately also our palates. The only possibility to counter this is knowledge – and here it is: served in three courses with profound ingredients. In the first one, Astrid serves from her own winding paths in gastronomy. With the second course she offers worthful tips and inside information – and warnings! – for those who want to become gastronomers themselves. The third one finally leads deep into the world of gastronomic secrets, offers a view behind the scenes of good and less good restaurants and reveals kitchen internal information which is typically hidden from the guest. Seasoned with a good shot of irony, this information is a culinary pleasure. In the end you will know – and eat better.
A book for cooks, who still want to cook and or guests, who still can enjoy – and for bold eyes which should never be seen on a consommé.
