In 2010, the Labour Recruitment Agreement between Greece and the Federal Republic of Germany celebrated its 50th anniversary. Signed in March 30, 1960, it brought a huge wave of migrant workers to Germany. On this occasion, the Gesellschaft Griechischer AutorInnen in Deutschland e.V. (Society of Greek Authors in Germany) has edited an anthology of short stories from its members. In their stories, the authors describe the problems in the styles and the effects of a collective human coexistence, driven by deeply felt sensations which are perceived as a perpetual movement. With a vari-ety of linguistic tools, surreal lyrics, descriptions of everyday events, encounters and experience, these former »Greek Guest Workers«, migrants in the first and second generation, criticize, characterize and portray literary snapshots of existence 50 years later.
»Movement« is the title of the bilingual book published October 2010 by Größenwahn-Verlag, Frankfurt – as evidence of both, the ease and the difficulties of self-integration into a multicultural society.
